Billing
Trial
Every account starts with a 7-day free trial from the moment you first connect HubSpot — no card required to start. Your admin tool stays fully usable during the trial so you can configure everything before inviting anyone.
Subscribing
Billing is per invited customer and handled by Stripe. The Billing page shows your current status and a “Manage billing” link that opens Stripe’s own portal, where you can add a payment method, change plans, or cancel — PortalShip never sees or stores your full card number.
If a payment fails
A past-due subscription doesn’t immediately cut off your customers’ access — Stripe’s own dunning emails handle retrying the payment first. Only a lapsed trial with no subscription, or a fully canceled one, blocks the customer-facing portal. Your admin tool always stays usable regardless, so you can fix billing without losing any configuration.
